  Good evening, this is Eric Bryce reporting live for ECAN. Russian submarines have begun to target European merchant ships all over the continent. Ships are being sunk within hours after leaving their ports and surprisingly the death toll has been very low. Statements from surviving crewmen included reports of Russian submarines acting in a 'very chivalric manner'. European officials have requested all European ships to remain in their ports until this new threat is dealt with. We've tried to contact the Continental Navy on the subject but no reply was given.  A massive evacuation of the populace near the eastern German border began today. Thousands are leaving their homes and belongings behind as the European defense line begins to wane before the restless Russian offensive. Hundreds of shelters are being built to house the evacuees and local aid workers have been very eager in delivering supplies. Many protests all over Europe have been breaking out recently challenging the ability of the ECA in dealing with the Russian forces.  Many citizens have begun to take matters into their own hands forming pockets of forces scattered around Europe sometimes even striking behind enemy lines. They simply call themselves 'The Resistance' and act independently from the ECA chain of command. They are characteristically recognized by their black uniforms and winter hats. These men and women have no rank and hold affiliation to no one. Stay tuned in the coming weeks as we gather more information on them.  Russian air strikes have increased in quantity lately. The few remnants of the European Continental Air Force are struggling to maintain the little pockets of air superiority they have left. Russian bombers and fighters recently are left mostly unchallenged as they strike military and civilian airports keeping the little aircraft that remain grounded. Berlin was also severely bombed today. Witnesses described severe amounts of aircraft flying over the city and then moments later a massive bombing took place in the city's industrial zone. Death tolls have been estimated in the hundreds. This concludes our evening news. This has been Eric Bryce. It's been a while since we've actually posted an update but I can assure you that we've been working behind the scenes (even though it doesn't look like it) and I'm here to prove it! Today we have a special amount of content for you, including two of our reskinned structures for the European Union as well as the awaited Russian Tesla Video! So lets get on with the update shall we? First up the EU Barracks: The training facility for the ECA Infantry. The FELIN, Panzerfaust Infantry and other soldiers are trained here. Next up, the EU War Factory: These massive facilities pump out the ECA's armored divisions, artillery and heavy equipment for their on going war effort. It is said that during Russian raids factory workers continued to work here, with greater effort, to get the job done. Now for a little extra, we'd like to show the Russian Cargo Plane: Called in by General powers, the IL76 Candid transports all Russian invasion forces across Europe or wherever it is called for duty. When you catch one of these in the sky, always look for another nearby.   Good evening, this is Alessandra Marques bringing you a BOND News update. Several Chinese oil rigs were attacked today. They were raided by teams of men on small inflatable boats. The attack was synchronized and the men managed to subdue the workers. Before the Chinese navy could react, the rigs were blown up causing a massive ecological disaster and ceased the production of billions worth of petroleum barrels. Chinese officials declared this as an act of terrorism and stated that finding the culprits would be their first priority. Heated arguments put an end to the Eurasian Summit. The meeting was considered a catastrophic failure by observers. China was unpleased with the removal of Chinese bases which had been installed in the Eurasian War, when the Global Liberation Army caused much conflict in the continent. European officials responded those bases were no longer necessary. Right after the summit, China cut diplomatic relations with the European Union, putting an end to what could've been a massively powerful alliance. Conflict escalated in northeastern Africa as fighting broke out between rival factions at the Algerian/Libyan border. Two rival warlords put the whole region into turmoil as they fought over territory and resources. Damage to both factions are said to be heavy and local governments accomplished very little interfering. Recently, a cease fire was declared between both factions and the leaders are currently meeting at an unknown location within Egypt. It has been confirmed Warlord Sulaymaan, a mysterious entity wanted by both Western and African authorities, will be overseeing the event. The commodity market boom that has been sending South American and African stock markets soaring for the past 30 years has been considered troublesome. Many dangerous African factions have been profiting from this and are becoming a bigger threat as ever with global arms sales on the rise. African leaders have been incapable so far to deal with these threats and are starting to look for assistance outside the continent.  The Pennsylvania space station will be completed tonight, marking the beginning of a golden age for space exploration as the station's main purpose is to function as a hub for space research and travel. Over fifty countries were involved in the project as as many as one hundred astronauts are on board. This orbital facility is scheduled to grow as as more parts and personnel are delivered from Earth. Experts declared the Pennsylvania will be closest thing to a city humanity has built in outer space. Economic recession has been crippling the U.S economy for months now. Stock markets have been tumbling to never before seen levels. Much of this is blamed on the U.S government's isolationism and the shortage of resources for American industries. Unemployment and crime has seen a major rise in the country. A violent riot was held today in Washington D.C over the government's ineptitude to control the crisis. Several protesters were hospitalized after the clash with the police. That marks the end of our update. This is Alessandra Marques reporting live from Brazil and the South American Union. Good night. --------------------------------------------------------------------- So, let us start with the Media Renders, shall we? First, we have here the Werewolf!  This flying Beast is a Tank Driver's greatest Nightmare. Not only does it enact anti-armor missiles to deal with tanks quickly, it is also capable of mowing infantry down with it's heavy machine guns. Next is the feared Blackshark Assault Helicopter. Beware!  This single seat assault helicopter variant is only used by Orlov's elite helicopter pilots. The Blackshark is able to perform strafing maneuvers to utilize its heavy machine gun and anti-armor missiles. Unlike the "Hokum" variant, the Blackshark is equipped with enhanced engines and equipment and is coated with a jet black paint job. And now, one classic Weaponsystems wich the Russians are very proud of: The ferocious Tesla-Coil!  Infantry, Light Vehicles or Tanks - it doesn't matter because the Tesla-Coil is capable of reducing all enemy Ground Units to ashes within Seconds. It fires Electric Charges with over 10.000 Jigga Watts ( Don't ask me how much that is, let me just tell you it's alot! ). Tesla-Coils have a great Range and every enemy Ground Unit should avoid them at all costs. Last, but not least, the ECA Lynx Transport.  The ECA Forces use the Lynx as their main transport unit to carry their Infantry across the Battlefield. It is capable of carrying 6 - 8 Soldiers. It's speed is decent and it enacts medium armor, don't get cross one of those or you'll experience pain.   Good afternoon Citizens. This is Tseng, your special news anchor reporting live for HKNN. Today, the glorious day of August 1st, we celebrate The People's Army. Our China is a busy nation and has expanded very rapidly these past few years. Let there be no doubts of our superior might! We now bring you the latest from the military parade at Beijing. The Iron Dragon slumbers for now but is ready as ever to crush the enemies of China and eager to expand our influence. The streets are filled with red banners showing undying support and patriotism for our nation. Today also marks the day of the Eurasian Summit. European leaders are meeting our own today to discuss current matters at the European conflict. China and it's people will be paving the way to a glorious future for every man, woman and child can be proud of, if our nation is called to arms then we shall take heave and finally show our might once more.  We've gotten word that The People's Army will be publicly displaying new weapons for the first time today. Keep your eyes looking closely at the horizon. Today's festivities will carry on until the night. If you are within the area please drop by and show us your support. Sit back because this will be a very crazy ride. You heard plenty from ECA and the Russians right? If were you thinking 'What about China?' then this update is just perfect for you. First up, we have the Chinese Han Heavy Gunship. Let's take a look, shall we? This beauty sports inter-meshing counter-rotating rotor blades which give it a very cool and unique design. It's armed with twin anti-tank cannons instead of the anti-tank missiles and rockets you've all become very familiar with. This baby fills a common role but it both accomplishes the task and looks like nothing else out there. There's rumors of a secondary weapon or ability but that's absolutely top secret at this time. Then we have the Chinese Propaganda Airship. You thought this couldn't get any more awesome? The ultimate option for your propaganda needs. These enormous airships resembling leviathans will keep your troops healed and will give you the bonuses you all love. They are also armed and are a good way of providing fire support for your units. They also die in a blaze of glory. Literally. This baby can be further upgraded with displays that further enhance their beneficial bonuses. The display will keep on switching between a selection of images which will keep your forces inspired and ready to fight. To wrap it up we now show you the Chinese Helix: Without the Helix the game just wouldn't feel the same. The Helix has returned and is very happy as you can see for yourself. He's particularly very pleased with his new appearance though it may be already familiar to some of you from an earlier update.  This is Eric Bryce speaking with Corporal Parkes through a live feed somewhere at the Polish Border.  Corporal Parkes what's the situation over there? Corporal Parkes LIVE via satellite: "The fighting has been going on for days now. We're in charge of holding the line against the Russian onslaught here at the Polish Defense Blockade. As soon we deal with a wave, another comes. I don't think we can hold out much longer. Our food reserves are running low, and I don't even want to talk about our -"  Corporal Parkes: "These lunatics! It doesn't matter how many we kill. They just send more. We've been trying to save our ammunition because we heard the depot got blown to bits when the Eastern Defense Blockade got compromised." Eric Bryce: How many men are fighting with you? What is the status of the Blockade? Corporal Parkes: "We're down to about half of our man power. They don't care about the loss of life. It seems they want to wipe us out no matter the cost." Eric Bryce: Corporal Parkes? Hello? Corporal Parkes! Eric Bryce: It seems we have lost our feed. (Written by Overdose) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello ROTR Fans! This is Overdose proudly giving my very first media update. Sit tight, because this will be a very crazy ride. Today we bring you what may be, the biggest ROTR update yet! I'm proud to present our work for the Russian faction, their infantry, the Russian Hero(and some of his abilities) and some screenshots from the field! I'm sure you are all exited so lets get it started shall we? First up on the list is the Russian Command center, Russian Command Bunker: Under the hardened concrete and reinforced steel walls lies the Russian Central Command. Above the ground this facility is outfitted with the responsibility of constructing a permanent Russian base while under ground the facility holds the central base of operations. The Command Bunker has been designed to withstand tons of punishment before it breaks down, due to this, space usage of equipment and staff areas lacks an onsite Radar dish for communications and must be constructed else where. Next is our Russian Barracks: The Infantry Quarters for all Russian Bases. These facilities are used to train newly recruited soldiers, hold sleeping quarters, and an underground infirmary for medical emergencies. And now, its time to show you our Russian infantry. In Rise of the Reds the Russians utilize the strongest of vehicles in the game. Due to the large economic boosts of the 2020's from the African and untapped resources of the Russian Tundras - the Russians were now able to re-cooperate their once lost military might, balanced their economy and tripled their population. As the 2030's came around however, the African Military Theater crippled their economy once more and the Russians took revenge on their so called European Allies. With their still strong military force and massive armies the Russians led an invasion of Europe. The Russian Federation first took volunteers to the war effort but as the need of more men were needed for the invasion of Europe they eventually led a massive conscription, giving simple civilians a rifle, a uniform and a months worth of training, making them very cheap for Russian Generals. (Check the Storyline in the "Storyline Tab for more info). Russian Conscript: The standard Russian soldier. Recruited by the Russian armed forces these soldiers are armed with a standard assault rifle and can be trained for a reasonable price. If you consider just giving a man a rifle training that is. Russian RPG Conscript: This conscript has been trained in the use of the RPG-27, they move slower than most infantry but in turn they can tear through enemy armor much faster than other anti tank infantry. They however lack the ability to aim at air targets and can only concentrate on ground units. Russian Igla Trooper: The Russian response to the lack of a early anti air weapons platform. Even though the Igla missile launcher was primarily designed to be used on airborne targets it can be used on ground targets but are not as effective. General are urged to use these troopers as a counter to air units as RPG Conscripts are not equipped or trained properly to do so. Russian Hero - Boris Bikov: A renowned hero within the Russian armed forces, Boris uses his powerful RPG-29 to burst through enemy armor with ease. When infantry comes into his sight he can easily switch to his Makarov Pistol to pick out the threat. Boris is also equipped with a laser designator to call in air strikes to soften hardened positions. Russian MiG Bomber (Boris Ability): When Boris calls in a air strike using his laser designator, these Russian MiGs are called in for the job. They cruise at fast speeds in search of Boris' laser and hurl incendiary bombs at their target, devastating the stability of the structure and leaving it in flames.
